About the Designer

As a designer, Donna believes in keeping things "straightforward and simple." A self defined "optimist", her design process is intensely personal.  It's a passion  she's had since she was a teenager, first experimenting with sewing for pleasure, then realizing she was good at it!  Donna pursued a Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and then tranferred to Mount Mary College, a small liberal arts college where her creative expression began to take form. Later, she moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion where she now maintains a highly successful showroom for missy and plus size dresses.  

Donna explains, "I am my own customer, and I'm doing this to make women feel good about themselves.  Women are re-thinking their lives and how they want to represent themselves.  They work at it and they're feeling confident about who they are.  Wearing a dress is a natural expression of that confidence."
